Barbara Jackson, Vice President Agricultural & Industrial Properties, is a seasoned agribusiness and life science professional. She literally grew up in the agribusiness and has a passion for bovines and the cattle industry! A native Tucsonan, she was raised on a commercial feed yard and her family pastured cattle where Green Valley is today. Barbara graduated from Washington State University in Pullman, Washington, with a BS in Animal Science, minor in Ag Economics.

After college and one year at her family’s feed yard business in Arizona, she left and joined Syntex Agribusiness. As one of the very first female reps in the animal health industry, Barbara has stories…lots of them! During her ten years at Syntex, she worked in various sales and marketing roles both domestically and internationally, including Western Region Sales Manager and Director of Advertising & Public Relations. She left Syntex to return to Arizona and started the marketing consulting business “TurnKey Promotions.” Clients included Walco International, Elanco, SunWest & SAILA. In 1990, Barbara and her husband, Tim Jackson, started Animal Health Express, a mail-order animal health and livestock supply company.

Fun Fact: It goes without saying that Barbara was raised in a barn and as a teenager, Barbara purchased calves from Tom Hunt Sr. (Tom’s dad) for her 4H projects. Also, Barbara played softball in junior college at 2nd base and catcher positions.
